Jesus!

I feel as many other Christians I assume do, there have been times I have been lukewarm. This is not how I want to be. I have felt called to share Christ through this blog as well as nutrition. Now as this blog is my understanding, although I have gone to Christian schools all my life, I call everyone to read the Bible and study it, and draw near to God.

Ephesians 2:5 NIV: “Made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-it is by grace you have been saved.”

Yes, we are made born-again but faith without works is dead, but works alone cannot save us, only Jesus can. “Faith without works is dead.” James 2:14-26. This explains faith without works, when you believe, you will act like it. You will want to share Jesus because He has saved you and so I feel called to share God through this blog. I have believed in God for a long time, but as I got deeper in the word, realized God would want me to do more. Evangelizing and loving others, is what I picture as works BECAUSE of faith. I have struggled what God has called me to do for your life. That is something I am still figuring out, even though I am 27. Praying to Him always seemed a bit awkward for me but I have looked at it like talking to a friend because Jesus is a friend! He is the Lord, He is almighty, He is GREAT.

There is another side, on the other hand “It is not from works, so no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:9. But Romans 6:23 says, “The wages of sin is death.” Jesus stepped in and took our sins when He died on the cross for us.

Ideas

Some ideas’ of works are evangelism, loving your family, spreading love throughout the world. Not swearing, not saying God’s name in vain, keeping the holy day, and obeying God. Obeying God can be obeying the 10 commandments and obeying what you feel is wrong to do. When you are with God, you will feel some sort of conviction in your heart. Christianity is a relationship with God rather than a religion and the Holy Spirit will make you feel like something is off.
